VAUGHN McCLURE ON THE UNANIMOUS DECISION

Adewale Ogunleye set the tone for Monday night's showdown with his "I hate the Packers" speech. The Bears have reason to despise their nemesis even more.

The embarrassment of a 37-3 loss at Lambeau Field a month ago still reverberates inside the Bears' locker room. That game was supposed to symbolize the rise of one NFC North team and the fall of another. Instead the Bears are the only ones with something to play for.

Although they don't control their fate in the playoff race, the Bears remain fixated on finishing 10-6. They will move one game closer by beating the Packers.

This time around, Brian Urlacher and the Bears won't be surprised by the Packers' running game, won't give up so much space while defending those slant routes, won't take unnecessary chances on offense knowing the Packers' secondary is one of the league's elite.

Kyle Orton hobbled through the first meeting, but his right ankle has improved. And although Matt Forte's sore right toe is worth monitoring, it should not impede the rookie from impacting the game, particularly if bad weather calls for an emphasis on the run. Green Bay's run defense ranks 26th in the NFL, allowing 138.2 yards per game.

Although the Packers have taken five straight Monday night contests from the Bears, don?t expect the streak to continue. No offense to Aaron Rodgers, but Brett Favre is not walking out that locker room door.
