The game turned with less than 10 minutes to go, and it was turned by two parts of the Bears' roster that had done almost nothing against the Packers on Monday night: the defensive line and the running game.
Until then, the defensive line was getting buzzed by Aaron Rodgers. But after Kyle Orton threw his second interception with 9:36 to go and the Bears down by seven, Tommie Harris threw Grant for a big loss and Israel Idonije swatted a Rodgers pass to the ground.
Now it was up to the offense. On a gotta-have-it drive, Forte carried on seven of eight plays, gaining 47 of the 51 yards, including the tying TD.
Yeah, Alex Brown's blocked field goal and Robbie Gould's clutch act were huge, but the Bears don't get to make those plays if the defensive line and running game don't make plays when they did.
