The Bears quarterback, coming off a high right ankle sprain suffered against Detroit on Nov. 2, is listed as probable for Sunday's NFC North showdown with the Green Bay Packers.

The question is, will Orton finish? The Packers are sure to test his mobility, and Orton won't have the luxury of handing off to Matt Forte on every play, although Forte's success running the ball could be the difference.

Orton took regular snaps in practice all week despite limited mobility. His ankle was wrapped. Orton missed last week's 21-14 loss to the Tennessee Titans while recovering from the sprain.

Bears coach Lovie Smith refused to declare Orton the starter after Friday's practice, but a handful of Orton's teammates said they believe the quarterback would take the field, regardless.

"Of course we have tomorrow, too, to see how it goes for him," Smith said, referring to a Saturday walk-through. "He's gotten better each day."

Orton should have his favorite early-season target back too. Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd was confident about returning to the lineup after missing the last five games with a sprained right knee.
