Management's betrayal
After last night's game in New Orleans, I believe the verdict is in on Packer management's decision to trade Brett Favre.
The Jets are playoff- and possibly Super Bowl-bound, while the Packers are an embarrassment.
This is what happens when you trade the heart and soul of your team. An example is the Boston Red Sox trade of Babe Ruth to the Yankees.
I had been a Packer fan for forty years. I feel totally betrayed by (Mike) McCarthy, (Mark) Murphy and (Ted) Thompson. Until each of them is gone from Green Bay, I will pull for the Jets or someone else.
The stubborn ego of Packer management is disgusting and inexcusable. Favre's trade will leave a bad taste in my mouth long after current management is gone. Nobody will ever forget this travesty, but a good house cleaning would make me feel better.

Sanders must go
The Packers were supposed to be able to ride the defense this year. Bob Sanders is not an NFL defensive coordinator, period. Look at the numbers; they don't lie.
The defense has declined each year under him; this year they are terrible and should not be. I know people are going to say it is because of injuries, and I say baloney on that. The Packers have not had a championship defense since 1996 under Fritz Shurmur.
They had one good defensive coach, Jim Bates, since then. Bates took an awful defense and in one year turned it into a top-10 defense. Then he left and with (his departure, so) left the defense.
They got some better players for (Sanders) and what have they done? They have gotten worse each year.
I can understand the offense not being consistent at times because their line is up and down and they have a first-year starting quarterback in (Aaron) Rodgers, but the defense has no excuse.
Offenses come in and do whatever they want. The other team can make changes and we do nothing to counter it. There are commentators that point things out and still (Sanders) does nothing.
Quarterbacks have all day to throw the ball, we don't stop the run and when we do, we can't stop the pass. Unless we play a bad offense we don't look good.
I hate to say it, but we will never be a factor with Sanders running the defense. When will the Packer experts realize that? The season is disappearing quickly on us and they do nothing.
I am very frustrated with the Packers not doing something about it. We are wasting another year. There is a reason he was never the head of a defense before - he is not capable!
I have been a Packer fan since I knew anything about Football. I've watched them and was teased all the way from the 70s through the 80s, but I can't take this garbage anymore.
