If you watched the Packers-Vikings game Monday night, you’re probably aware of Tony Kornheiser’s infatuation with Brett Favre.
And you were probably a bit more than mildly annoyed. Kornheiser mentioned Favre’s name so many times that you had to think he was getting paid by the Favre mention. You certainly didn’t think Aaron Rodgers was starting at quarterback for the Packers.
If Rodgers made a good throw, Favre taught him how to do it. If Rodgers showed good fundamentals on a play, it was because of Favre’s teachings. If Rodgers used the hard count to draw the Vikings offside, it was a trick Favre showed him. There was no doubt that Rodgers learned the Lambeau Leap from Favre.
For all we know, Favre taught Rodgers how to squat in the woods when he can’t find a rest stop.
So I bring you refreshing news before Week Two of the NFL season commences. While Kornheiser is incapable, it appears Favre is willing and able to talk about his successor in Green Bay.Continue Reading
